After 30 days since Shelley found out she was having a boy and a girl (the amount of time it takes to make a good decision), the girls’ favorite names for the twins are revealed!  Emma thinks the babies need E names! She chooses Elijah & Ethan for her brother, and Emelia and Elizabeth for her sister.  Shelley loves the idea of little Eli!  Ava’s picks are Olivia, Sophia, Jackson, and Aidan.  Allie choses Izabel, Addison, Landon, and Owen. Shelley likes all the names a lot, and she and Michael have a tough decision ahead!  But sometimes, decisions just take time! However, Shelley has been trying to make a decision about a new car for weeks, and can’t make a decision!  Emma offers to help.  Shelley wants a 3-row vehicle, that’s not too big, not too expensive, and is fuel efficient.  Emma’s got her work cut out for her, but turns out, she’s a great researcher!  She narrows the search to 2 options– a Mazda 5, that is the best price & gets up to 30 miles to the gallon, but is a little large, or a Mitsubishi Outlander that compact, gets up to 28 miles to the gallon, but is a few thousand more.

Meanwhile, Grandma Mary Carol shows up for a surprise visit.  Michael continues to try to convince her to retire, but Mary Carol just wants to take her granddaughters to the spa.  Emma declines since she is helping Shelley.  However, eventually, Mary Carol reveals she has not gone back to work, because after her surgery, she had a heart attack.  Now that she is reasonable well, she has moved to a beach front condo in Baltimore, is writing a book, and wants to spend as much time as she can with her granddaughters, and soon first grandson!  And she thinks his name should be Oliver, and his twin named Olivia!

18. Rumor Has It                                       Friday, February 21, 2014
The McCallum family doesn’t usually believe in rumors, but rumor has it that Jana is pregnant again! Not only do the McCallums not believe in sex before marriage, but last time Jana was pregnant she had an abortion! Not to mention she’s only 14! And in 8th grade! Allie isn’t even 14 yet!

But when coming out of a baby appointment, the family runs into Jana in the parking lot, next to Shelley’s new dark blue Mitsubishi Outlander.  Shelley ultimately decided she on the smallest car, and saved by buying last year’s model, and one with a standard transmission.  The 3rd row seat is small, but works for babies!  Jana admits she is pregnant with Nathan’s baby; however this time around, she is keeping it.  She is switching to online school as of Monday, and will work as a dishwasher at a local restaurant, in the evenings when the baby comes so she can take care of him or her during the day.  Nathan is also switching to online school, and will work during the day (though he doesn’t have a job yet), and care for the baby while Jana works.  Jana’s mom is continuing to let her live with her, and allowing Nathan watch the baby at her house in the evenings, but she will be of no financial or childbearing support.  Jana wants the family to know she is still in counseling, and working on her issues; she’s not just forgetting about them.  Allie has some respect for her for taking responsibility and not having another abortion, but Shelley, Emma, and Ava don’t feel a 14 year old should ever be having sex! Lust is a deadly sin!
That evening before bed, Emma and Allie discuss sex. Allie is embarrassed that she doesn’t know anything about it or know what a blow job or anything means, but Emma does because of her mother, and shares.  Emma says she would never have sex or do anything sexual before marriage, but Allie isn’t sure.  “What if I don’t get married until I’m 45??” Allie says.
